Etsehiwot, who goes by “E” first heard about Crossfit from a friend in 2011. Her friend told her about the changes she had witnessed and this peeked E’s interest. At the time, E’s workout consisted of kickboxing classes, 5 to 6 times a week and she had considered herself pretty fit. However, taking that first Crossfit class had her question her entire fitness journey- she struggled through the whole workout and could barely finish! She loved how challenging the workout was and wanted more.

While she could not join a Crossfit gym at the time, E told herself that she would start Crossfiting in the future. Fast-forward 4 years, in May of 2015, she finally joined a Crossfit gym and never looked back. The constantly varied functional movements, performed at high intensity, have made her stronger and fitter than she’s ever been. Starting Crossfit was one of the best decisions she’s ever made in her life.
